Gregorian calendar. The Hindu calendar follows a lunisolar system, because of this the Shukla Chaturthi of the Bhadrapada month falls on a different Gregorian date every year.

Meaning: This shloka refers to the story of Syamantaka Mani. Lord Krishna was once blamed for theft after people saw Him under the moon on this tithi, and later His innocence was proven. Chanting this shloka is believed to save a person from a similar false blame if the moon is seen by mistake on this day.
